Lush Deep Dives: How to Use Bath Bombs, Bubble Bars and Bath Oils
Erica takes us on a trip down memory lane with the story of Lush co-founder Mo Constantine inventing the world’s first bath bomb. Then she takes a close look at some of the most innovative new fizzers, bubblers and oils that you can find on shop shelves today.
We believe that our products should be more than just beautiful. Instead, they’re all designed to have fantastic effects for skin, mood and more. Take, for instance, our innovative jelly bombs which are made with sodium alginate to add extra skin-soothing moisture in every bath.
If you need a little more hydration, give our bath oils a try. This decadent range of moisturizing melts includes some of our most beautiful and inspiring fragrances.
And if you’re a fan of froth, we have two ways to get mounds of bubbles in your tub, from our traditional packaging-free bubble bars, to our reusable bubble spinners, wands and brushes like Pink Petitgrain.

I love the Comforter bubble bar. It’s my number 1. I usually pair it with a think pink bomb and maybe a mmmelting marshmallow moment oil. I love my sweet baths!
I would love to have a job like Erica’s! Honestly she (and my love of Lush) is what inspired me to apply for my local store after I graduate college instead of pitching myself into a “big girl” job. I just want to live with the joy and creativity it feels like Erica and Lush deal in.
2:00 Thank me later <3
I love Lush but the bath oils are way to perfumed for me. I had ordered 4 or 5 different ones and the smell was so strong I had an instant asthma attack. The mail man even complained how over powering it was while delivering it to my place. I couldn't even open the box, I had to leave it outside on my solarium over night . I dropped it off at the post office to return it the net morning. I even have trouble going to the stores now because the scents are over powering and just way to much for me. I wish I could shop there more but I have to limit the time I'm exposed to perfumes!
The sodium alginate causing a barrier on the disk doesn't make sense since the disks and insert are normal bath bombs. They foam as normal, it's just that the slime it causes covers the fresh bath bomb and it can't react with the water so it just sits there. I think having the jelly bomb mix as a powder that you sprinkle into the tub would be a cool way of avoiding too much slime (if it's not your thing) while also getting the mix to dissolve/react fully <3
The pink and twilight bath bomb are my favorite but the comforter will always have my heart ❤️
Lol I doubt I’ll be quick enough to grab one though.
Hi ! I World love to see how you make solid hair conditioner . Greetings from Poland
Whenever I go to lush I’ll sometimes fell embarrassed because I told my aunt (she’s the only one who takes me to lush ) I wanted to work at lush and then she told an employee!!!!!!
I love listening to Erica talking about the products! Her passion makes me want to buy everything she talks about hahaha
I love these deep dives and Erika I love the way you explain things and love your eclectic style. Please do more videos 🙂
Ohhhh I never thought of holding the jelly bomb under the running water, I always kept trying to move it around with my hand in the water
Erica is so so sooooo good at explaining all of this. Genuinely feels like a friend telling you stuff x
Blue sky and fluffy WHITE clouds is the best thing ever❤️ i use 1/7 of it for a Bath and it Does so so many bubbles, defo worth buying
I love her personality so enthralling 😂❤️
Im interested in lush but its too expensive

Nice breakdown of beauty products history, but "Citric Acid is a fruit sugar…" What?
No…
"Citric acid is a weak organic acid that has the chemical formula C ₆H ₈O ₇. It occurs naturally in citrus fruits. In biochemistry, it is an intermediate in the citric acid cycle, which occurs in the metabolism of all aerobic organisms." Source: Wikipedia
Please bring back cinders and Phoenix rising and honeybee 🙏🏼
How she managed to keep me here for 11 minutes I’m not sure
I would love to see you do a deep dive on body washes and soaps, that would be amazing
i love erica so much
Kamomil grandma need that deodorant
Hi erica how many times should we use the bath bombs in a week?
I accidentally crushed up my bubble bar into the tub & not under the running water 😹. I have to stay I still enjoyed it and my skin smelled amazing
I love Lush bath bombs,🛁 about a year ago I've received every single one, as a gift for my birthday, they are the best ❤️ thank you for this info. I want to try the bath oils now🛀❤️
RATS! I was hoping you would TELL how to use bath bombs. I have purchased 4 bath bombs, and NONE of them have "exploded" with fizziness in my bath. They each have lasted 3 [sometimes FOUR] baths because so little comes off the bomb.
bubble bar : 4:17
The GOOD NEWS IS OUT, LUSH IS COMING TO LITTLE ROCK, Thanks to the POP up shop in August! so EXcited! I need an application
Thank you! ❤️
I've been hurting myself trying to figure out…are the LUSH bath oils and bath bombs meant to be used together or separately? I know that I can do whatever I want but I like to try and get the full intended experience of each product before I combine them…I'm feeling like they're meant to be used separately but I wanted other thoughts and opinions…thanks!!!
I highkey want that book
PLEASE KEEP THE BARH OILS!!! Or at least bring them back during the holiday collections if not all year round
Love this video. But I know she meant The Orb in regards to the bubble bar, not Orbital. I do love that bubble bar
Really love this video.. I love that this woman throughly talks about these soaps. I’ve never used lush and been wanting to but have sensitive skin.
This Erica's hair style is so funny. She looks like an old lady who is from polygamy family haha
Don't wanna say "slimy"? How about Creamy & Oily? That sounds more cosmetics-like.
Super engaging video!! Love Erica. ❤️
Completely random but Erica makes me feel like she could be one of the teachers at Hogwarts lol!!
Lush’s professional gem✨
Thank you 😊
I wish the lush workers knew this much. Mine sell me the worst stuff every time
Are we supposed to rinse our bodies after being in the bath especially with the bubble bars because it leaves a residue? Is it safe?
Please bring bath oils back 😭
Wow that was totally cool and I love the names.
I can't afford to buy such Loveliness bath bombs all the time, I'm poor. So I like to spead it out a little bit by crushing it up to little pieces and put it in a pretty cup with a lid on it that comes with a tiny spoon and take out a little at a time to enjoy this prettiness in my tub because I don't get to have these kind of baths all the time. So I like to enjoy them when I can. Even if it's putting a little at a time to make me happy. But maybe one day I cam put the whole bath bomb in my tub to truly experience the bath bomb
She does a phenomenal job with these videos
